In Fort Wayne, a customer with a strong appreciation for distinctive natural stone turned to Wise Stone Choice after falling in love with Labradorite Extra, a rare and eye catching variety of granite known for its dramatic movement and flashes of blue, gray, and iridescent mineral tones. Unlike standard granite patterns, Labradorite Extra offers depth and character that shifts with the light, making it a true statement piece. The homeowner wanted to elevate its impact even further by giving the countertop a thicker, more substantial appearance.
To bring that vision to life, we fabricated the Labradorite Extra granite with a 2-inch mitered edge. This technique creates the look of a thicker slab while maintaining structural integrity and efficiency. The result was a bold, luxurious countertop that highlights the unique beauty of this specialty granite while delivering the durability and performance homeowners expect.
