Step 1
Planning
Thinking about a new countertop project? Browse our website to explore countertop options and find the material that best suits your style, needs, and budget.
Call or fill out our web form to schedule an appointment with our design team. Make sure you bring your measurements and any cabinet color, paint swatches, flooring color and inspiration pictures so we can help create your perfect space.
Step 2
Project Details
Your project begins with a showroom visit where our expert staff with more than 25 years of experience will walk through every detail with you. During this consultation, we’ll guide you through your countertop selections, including choosing the color, edge profile, sink, and all other project specifics.
Wise Stone is committed to making your remodel as easy as possible. In addition to fabrication and installation, we also offer tear-out and disposal of your existing countertops, ensuring a seamless start-to-finish experience.
Once the details have been confirmed, our team with provide and estimate based on those selections.
Step 3
Place Order
Moving Forward With Your Project
Once your estimate is approved and you’re ready to proceed, we will collect a deposit to secure your project on our schedule. At this stage, all cabinets, appliances, and fixtures should be ordered and on-site before the template appointment.
When we schedule your template, we will also provide your installation date, allowing you to plan confidently.
Preparing for Your Template Appointment
To ensure accurate measurements and a smooth process, please have the following completed before the template:
- Countertops cleared off
- New cabinets fully installed and secured
- All appliances on-site (especially slide-in ranges, cooktops, and refrigerators)
- Sink and fixtures on-site, including:
- Faucet
- Soap dispenser
- Glass rinser
- Any additional accessories
- Reverse osmosis (R/O) components
Having everything ready ensures precise measurements and prevents delays in fabrication.
Step 4
Template
Day of Template
A final decision maker is strongly urged to be on-site during the template appointment to review all design details with our measurement technician. This ensures every aspect of your project is confirmed before fabrication begins.
To achieve the most precise measurements, our technician uses a laser measuring system and will verify all project details, including:
- Color
- Edge profile
- Overhangs
- Support brackets
- Backsplash
- Any additional design elements specific to your layout
The template appointment typically lasts about an hour, though larger or more complex projects may take longer.
Step 5
Final Drawing
Turning Your Template Into Final Shop Drawings
After the template appointment, our team converts the laser measurements into precise shop drawings. These drawings guide fabrication and ensure every detail matches what was discussed during your design review.
Your estimate is then updated to reflect all final decisions made at the template. Once everything is confirmed, we send an invoice with the final project pricing.
Securing Material & Digital Imaging
Next, your selected material is secured, and digital images of the slabs are taken. This allows us to plan your layout accurately and confirm the best placement of veining and seams.
If you opted for a digital layout, you will receive a detailed visual showing how the veining, seams, and overall flow of the material will appear once installed. This layout is sent for your approval before fabrication begins.
Step 6
Fabrication
Fabrication Begins
Once your drawings and material layout are approved, our shop begins machining your project and crafting your custom countertops.
Every piece is fabricated with exceptional precision, using advanced equipment and skilled craftsmanship to ensure the highest level of quality.
Our team takes great pride in their work, and each countertop is produced with care, accuracy, and attention to detail. Before your tops leave the shop, they undergo a thorough final inspection to confirm they meet our standards and your expectations.
Step 7
Installation Day
Installation day is the final step in bringing your project to life. Our expert installers arrive with the finished countertops you’ve worked so hard to design, ready to transform your space. They take great pride in their craftsmanship and are dedicated to turning your vision into reality.
Our installation team works safely, efficiently, and respectfully, making sure your home is protected throughout the process. They also ensure the workspace is fully cleaned before they leave, so you can enjoy your new countertops immediately.
